The Bartlesville Police Reserve held its annual Shop with a cop December 10, 2016. This event was wonderful day, we had a great group of children that we assisted this year. We had 23 children that participated in theis event. The event started at 0800 am at the Bartlesville Hilton Garden Inn with a breakfast, provided by Sal's Donuts, special additional goodies, provided by the Hilton Garden Inn, and a special visit from Santa and friends. Once concluded we all gathered into the awaiting patrol car line and proceeded with a lights and siren parade to K-Mart, where there we assisted those children with shopping for what ever their hearts desired. We had special guests arrive throughout the morning, K-9 Officers Desiel and Apollo, with their handlers and other offciers from the department. The gracious ladies from the Department of Human Services provided wrapping of presents for the children. The children had a wonderful time during this event and we could not have made this possible without the continued support of the citizens of Bartlesville. We would like to thank the following sponsors that helded us make this a great event, Bartlesville K-Mart for allowing us to use their facility to hold this events shopping portion, The Bartlesville Hilton Garden Inn for the use of their facilities, Sal's Daylight Donuts for providing breakfast, and numerous organizations that made contributions to the reserve unit.
